Horsham Township

Horsham Township is one of the oldest original municipalities in Montgomery County. Incorporated in 1717, the township contains two significant outflow basins that make up part of the Delaware River System. It is in these same basins where the area's open space and conservation areas are centered. Horsham township contains primarily office complexes and corporate centers, however also has quality residential communities. There is no lack of shopping facilities oriented for the community located in Horsham. You can also find quite a number of quality golf courses to enjoy.

The township maintains a Parks Commission and employs a part-time director to assist in maintaining various programs. Little League programs are provided private organizations.

Public Transportation

Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) bus Route 55 connects the East Horsham with Lower Bucks County, East Montgomery County, and Philadelphia.

Shopping

In Horsham you will find a variety of community shopping centers, specialty stores, and small businesses. The closest shopping malls are the Montgomery Mall and the Willow Grove Park Mall.

Public Services

The business areas in the central and east sections of Horsham are serviced by public water and sewer services. There is a municipal sewage treatment plant that is being created to expand and double the capacity of the existing water and sewer services. A full-time police force provides safety and security to the township. while fire protection is maintained by volunteer organizations. Private contractors handle the residential trash disposal.
